An excellent sermon in defence of passive-obedience and non-resistance : Preach'd on Sunday the 7th of October, 1733. At St. P--l's Cathedral, By the Reverend Mr. Sc-rl-ck, from these words, speak not evil of dignities: proving irrefragably, "That the late procession of the citizens to Westminster, in defence of their liberties and properties, was a damnable sin, and not to be allow'd for, but by an absolute obedience and implicite faith, in the wisdom and conduct of our superiors for the future, and that the excise scheme was calculated for the benefit and advantage of the whole nation.
