Item Description:The first work is a suite based on pictures by Victor Hartmann, originally for piano, orchestrated by Maurice Ravel; the 2nd work is a song cycle based on poems by Golenishchev-Gutuzov, originally for low voice and piano, orchestrated by Dmitri Shostakovich; the 3rd work is a symphonic poem.
Track nos. 1-15 previously released by Deutsche Grammophon in 1977; nos. 16-19 previously released by Decca, 1998.
