Description
Summary:Moyers queries writers, philosophers, activists and ordinary citizens around the country, focusing on the public and private concerns of the American people in an election year. This program focuses on justice. A panel of 5 judges and the solicitor general of the US discuss the overcrowded and overburdened court system, the reason for the increase of prisoners, the decrease of funding in the justice system, and the instability of the system in some areas of the country. The participants discussed many solutions to the problems. One proposal is for a profound change in the system, another is for a change in how we deal with health, education and unemployment as some believe it is an underlying factor in civil and criminal cases.
