Description
Summary:The current study is a multi-attribute utility theory analysis for the purpose of determining what attributes are most important for selection of a project management tool for a consulting practice. The study was conducted with a set of volunteer project managers. It selects a set of critical attributes, weights them, and uses them to evaluate several commercially available project management tools. These attributes were then sought in several products on the marketplace. Finally, a recommendation was formulated for the practice on the basis of these results. This was done at a time when collaborative web-centric project management tools were beginning to ascend beyond traditional project management tools such as Microsoft Project and ABT Workbench.
