| Summary: | Dissatisfied with everything in his life, Phillip Dimitrious flees his marriage to Antonia, a beautiful woman with whom he has a teenage daughter, Miranda. Phillip wants to wander and dream ; Antonia wants to resume her career as an actress. Neither seems to notice that Miranda is having growing pains of her own. "Finding yourself is the biggest adventure of all," so Phillip and Miranda head to Greece. There they meet Aretha, a spirited woman who becomes Phillip's mistress and Miranda's confidante. The three settle into a fragile tranquility on a deserted Greek island whose only inhabitant is Kalibanos, a lonely shepherd. But their tranquility is broken when Antonia arrives in a storm that will prove to be a catalyst for the most profound revelations in all their lives. |
