Item Description:	At head of title: Explorations and Surveys, War Department, map number 2. Facsimile. Relief shown by shading and hachures. Also shows routes of exploration. "C-5 1st Lieutenant Ives did extensive surveys on the Colorado River and surrounding area. He was accompanied by Fhr. F. W. v. Elgloffstein, Topographer, who apparently originated his "birds eye" view of map making which presents a three dimensional prospective of the area." Cartographic material.
