Description
Summary:The purpose of this study was to further validate and examine the reliability of the Dispositions of Reflective Thinking Questionnaire (DRTQ). An initial test for discriminate validity was performed to determine if the items in each category were correlated with each other. Additionally we wanted to determine if there was a difference in reflective thinking dispositions between pre-intern and intern pre-service teachers and genders. A MANOVA revealed no significant differences between the pre-interns and interns or between the genders. However, the results of the factor analysis tend to reinforce the validity and moderate reliability of the DRTQ. Finally, qualitative analysis from stimulated recalls and exit interviews suggest that while the DRTQ has theoretical validity more detailed item construction may be necessary in order to get a precise quantitative analysis of reflective thinking dispositions.
