Inexpensive and easy to use, digital video cameras and editing software enable independent filmmakers and students alike to create features and documentaries, and they use the Internet as a ready distribution channel. In section two, correspondent Terence Smith examines the successor to the VCR - the Personal Video Recorder, which feeds broadcasts through a hard drive, allowing viewers to pause a program, do an instant replay or record programs for later viewing. WebTV, which allows viewer interaction with the Internet and live broadcasts, is also presented.
