The Seagull /
Trepleff wants to bring new forms to the theater. Irina, his mother, derides his ambitions. When Trepleff falls in love with Nina, Irina's lover leads Nina into an affair, abandons her and leaves her to Irina's mercy. In the end, all their lives are destroyed.
