|a The concept of quadratic convexity of sets in the complex plane is introduced and analyzed. Connections between the analytic and geometric notions of quadratic convexity are exploited to determine the quadratically convex hulls of all discrete planar sets consisting of not more than four points. Some partial results towards an internal characterization of quadratic convexity of planar domains are presented.
