Description
Summary:Electro-optically tunable polarization mode converters have been produced in LiNbO₃ substrate using all static strain optic effects. Maximum conversion efficiency of 98.3% was achieved at 66414m wavelength in TE to TM conversion, and 95.8% at the same wavelength in TM to TE conversion. The wavelength tuning of maximum conversion efficiency was observed from 660.5nm at -40V to 666.3nm at +40V in both TE[]TM polarization mode conversions and the wavelength shifted linearly with 0.0692nm/V rate. In order to characterize the tuning performance, strain analysis was performed.
