Description
Summary:The success of a centering relationship depends on raphics.
many factors, including quality of activity, child
characteristics, and mentor characteristics. This
study examines the manner in which mentor
characteristics predict positive mentoring
relationships with aggressive children. Mentors are
placed in one of two types of centering conditions --
Lunch Buddy and Prime-rime, with the latter group
engaging in a relationship outside of school, and the
former serving as a in-school attention control.
Mentor variables, such as personality factors,
attachment, and self-efficacy are measured to see if
they have any predictiveness above and beyond the
mentor condition.
