Description
Summary:Through this study, four values are explored as to Microfilm Inc. their importance for decisionmakers when approving or rejecting plans for the development of a wetland mitigation bank. To provide a means of illustrating the dynamics of the decision process a numeric description of individual valuations was created by translating the results of the naturalistic inquiry into a numerically valued survey instrument. Rather than relying solely on the calculated values assessed through the survey, a more expansive approach was taken that allows respondents to predict the outcome of their responses to the survey. Further, through the naturalistic inquiry, respondents frequently stated that their personal values often differed from their professional stance on issues. To describe how personal constructions differed from professional obligations, respondents were asked to numerically describe this difference as a means of comparison with the other results. The result is a graphic representation of these differences.
