First appeared in 1598 under title: "Palladis Tamia. Wits treasury being the second part of Wits common-wealth". It formed the second volume in a series of which "Politeuphuia, Wits commonwealth", 1597, usually ascribed to John Bodenham, was the first. There were a total of four volumes in the series.--Cf.
