Description
Summary:Results from 196 rubber fracture test on Edwards limestone are presented in this thesis. The potential strength-volume effect is investigated for seven test geometries. Analysis of test data does not indicate a significant strength-volume effect. Normal, lognormal, gamma, and Weibull distribution models are fit to the empirical distribution function from each of 2 the seven geometries test data. Goodness-of-fit statistics Anderson-Darling A2-Smirnov D are presented. Each of Cramer-von Mises W , and Kolmogorovthe seven geometries distribution models met a 95 percent significance level. The ability of the Weibull model parameters from a specific geometry to predict the empirical distribution function of another geometry is investigated. Representative results from five out of 42 cases are presented.
