Description
Summary:This thesis presents the results of assessing well recompletion and infill drilling opportunities in two sandstone reservoirs in the Lavaca Bay field of Calhoun county in South Texas. The two reservoirs, Melbourn and F-39 sands are in the Frio Formation. Reservoir characterization methods used in this study are inexpensive and geared to identify additional unrecovered resources. The methods include interpretation of well log, production and core data, and stratigraphic cross sections. Available data indicate good prospects for additional recoverable gas. Based on this study, eight wells were found to have potential for recompletion and three prospective sites were located for infill drilling.
