| Abstract: | There are many signal detection and estimation schemes in the field of communication theory and each on possesses a variety of fidelity criteria. When confronted with imperfectly known underlying statistical distributions, stability of performance for any of the schemes is a very desirable feature. Here a method for defining and numerically evaluating such a feature is presented for those schemes developed based on parametric probability models. Our methodology encompasses both local and nonlocal concepts in dealing with the underlying probability distribution functions. |
