| Summary: | This thesis reviews the important contributions to the stability of a robust control system. For the stability analysis of such systems, we introduce Kharitonov's theorem and study its generalization(CB theorem). The CB theorem is shown to have a significant role in the analysis and design of interval systems. Its external properties are also discussed. The image set approach & frequency domain criteria can be used to calculate the IP stability margin. The frequency domain criteria are used with the CB theorem to design a controller that stabilizes an interval system optimally with respect to gain(phase) margin. In order to do this, we develop an iterative algorithm using classical frequency domain design tools. |
