| Abstract: | Photothermal Spectroscopy (PTS) has been used to measure the spectral absorption of pure water from 340-640nm. Rayleigh, Brillouin and Raman scattering effects can cause significant errors if the absorption is measured transmissively. Past absorption studies have used transmissive techniques, corrected for these scattering effects. This study differs front transmissive studies in that PTS is inherently insensitive to scattering effects. |
