Item Description:Attributed by Wing to Abraham Woodhead (who wrote under the pseudonym of R.H.) and, erroneously, to Obadiah Walker. Cf. NUC pre-1956 imprints.
This item appears, attributed to Woodhead, as Wing number W3453 Variant (1113:1), and erroneously attributed to Walker, under the title "The guide in controversies", as Wing number W398 (1433:5). Despite the title variation in the Walker-attributed version, the copies have identical title pages. The number W398 has been cancelled in the revised edition of the Wing bibliography.
Place of publication suggested by Wing.
"Explications concerning the resolution of faith" (pages [417]-448) has special title page, dated 1674.
