Item Description:	Project 24 is an Oceanographic Survey of the Gulf of Mexico sponsored by the Office of Naval Research (Project NR 083-036, Contract N7 onr-487 T.O. 2) and the Bureau of Ships (NE 120219-5) Project 40 is a Hydrographic and Chemical Survey of Corpus Christi Bay and Connecting Water Bodies sponsored by the Reynolds Metals Company. Project 40, Appendix I. "June, 1953" Research conducted for the Texas A & M Research Foundation. This is a preliminary report of work that was begun on Project 40 and is being continued on Project 24.
