520 3 |a The reaction H²(p,2p)n was studied experimentally with particular regard to proton-proton quasifree scattering for 40 MeV bombarding energy. I t was verified that the data for several detector configurations could be combined together and be shown to depend primarily on the spectator neutron momentum. A comparison was made of the data with a Simple Impulse Approximation scaled by a factor of one-third and a Modified Simple Impulse Approximation (MSIA) using a cutoff radius of 6.46 Fermis. The experimental data had a peak value common to that of the MSIA theory and a FWHM value about midway between that of the two theories.
