Item Description:Each volume has a frontispiece that is a group of "Theatrical Portraits" engraved by W.T. Fry. The frontispiece to vol. 1 drawn by T. Wageman.
Each play has an illustrated head-piece, most of which are unsigned. Those that are signed are engraved by Mason, Mary Byfield, J. Byfield, W. Hughes, Jane Hughes, J. Jackson, S. Williams, T. Williams, I.R. Dodd or GWB.
Separately paginated either as single works, or two short ones, between 12 and 20 pages. Works are numbered at the foot of the first page, and each volume has a table of contents.
