Abstract:	A general analytic form is derived for the transition probability, P[subscript 31](t), for two-compartments irreversible systems in which residency-time distributions are integral gammas. Some uses of these analytic forms are mentioned. For modelling situations in which analytic forms for P[subscript 31](t) are difficult to obtain, a method of modelling requiring only a numerical forms for P[subscript 31](t) in order to investigate the accuracy of the numerical methods.
