One plate is signed "Forbes del." and another is illustrated by Chapin and engraved by Felter. Copyright 1854 by H.H. Snelling. "Our printer seems to have paid much less attention to the correction of the proof than a work of this kind demanded, and consequently very many errors present themselves. ..."--Errata, p. [236]. Two pages at end of catalogue, printed on blue paper, include publisher's advertisements for Snelling's Photographic & fine art journal, and "new works on the photographic and daguerrean arts," and an advertisement for materials and chemistry manufactured by V.
