The Life and history of the Right Honourable Henry St. John, Lord Visc. Bolingbroke : Containing, the whole series of his conduct from his first entrance into Parliament, to the death of Queen Anne, and from thence to the end of his life. In which the publick transactions of those times are set in a clear light, and His Lordship's conduct during the negotiations of the famous Treaty of Utrecht, impartially stated. With many curious anecdotes of court intrigues and ministerial stratagems, practised by the two contending parties, Whig and Tory, as each of them prevailed during the course of that reign. Likewise some account of His Lordship's degradation, his attainder, his exile and restauration. Faithfully collected from the histories, memorials, records and annals of those times. To which is prefixed, His Lordship's effigy, curiously engraved.
