Abstract:	This research was designed to examine the relationship between variations in mode of interview behavior rehearsal and locus of control in a vocational institute setting. Random assignment of treatment was employed with 21 Job Interview Techniques classes at Texas State Technical Institute, Waco, Texas. Locus of control orientation and knowledge of job interview techniques were sampled before and after treatment using the Adult Nowicki-Strickland Internal-External Scale (ANS-IE) and an instructor-developed instrument. Eight hypotheses were examined to evaluate the three treatment modes. The data were analyzed using analysis of covariance and paired t tests. Seven of the eight hypotheses showed no significant differences in improvement in either locus of control or job interview knowledge. External locus of control groups showed significant increase in internality independent of the three treatment modes. It was concluded that Externals benefited most from the JIT course.
