Abstract:	The purpose of this study was to determine which tasks in the administration of community education are considered most important by community educators involved in their performance. This information could be used as a data base for changes in training programs for community educators. In order to accomplish this purpose, answers to the following questions were sought: 1. Which tasks are considered most important to the administration of community education? 2. How do community educators perceive their ability to perform these tasks? 3. Are tasks perceived differently by community educators whose professional backgrounds differ? 4. Are tasks perceived differently by community educators whose age and sex differ? 5. Are tasks perceived differently in urban school districts as compared to rural school districts? 6. Are tasks perceived differently by community educators who work at the building level as compared to those who work at the district level?
