| Abstract: | A laboratory technique utilizing a thermogradient plate was used to determine the effect of temperature extremes on germination of different Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench genotypes and the inheritance of base temperature. Field studies using high and low base temperature selections as well as previously classified tropically and temperately adapted hybrids and their parents were conducted at College Station and Lubbock, to study the association of base temperature for germination with various agronomic characteristics and with crop adaptation. ... |
