| Abstract: | Tourism is a complex and economically significant factor in the economy of many areas of the world including the United States. Investment decisions for tourism are often made without considering all salient factors. This research develops a general mathematical model for tourism investment decisions. The model is a nonlinear mixed integer dynamic model. A solution technique based on Benders' decomposition is developed to provide an optimum solution for the model. A FORTRAN-H computer program is given which implements this solution procedure. |
