Item Description:	The Cushing Library/Rare Books copy contains the bookplate of Harry and Monica Dance, three postcards to Mrs. Dance and is inscribed to Monica Dance from Sydney Cockerell. It also contains a 7-page unpublished carbon typescript which opens with the line "William Morris has been dead for more than half a century" and "proceeds to give an account of Cockerell's relation to him...and the character of the man, his many achievements, incidents in his life, and his general interests in his life and leisure" -- bookseller's description. Includes letters from James Barrie, T.J. Cobden-Sanderson, Joseph Conrad, Roger Fry, Edward Garnett, Edmund Gosse, Thomas Hardy, A.E. Houseman, Henry James, T.E. Lawrence, William Morris, Leo Tolstoy, and W.B. Yeats. "First published 1940."
