Description
Abstract:The major achievement of this research was to enhance the flexibility of sampling inspection methodology. This was achieved by providing the conceptual framework for extending current sampling inspection theory into combined sampling systems. This effort significantly augmented the capability of the quality control manager in making sound management decisions among a host of alternatives. A major contribution here was to recognize that all sampling plans and hence, combined sampling systems could be defined as a closed decision process ultimately leading to a terminal accept or reject decision. It was also recognized that all plans and systems were a function of the universal set of decisions [accept, reject, increase sample size, refer to other lots]. ...
