| Abstract: | The use of a covalency parameter in Crystal Field Theory calculations has been applied to sixteen octahedral complexes. The experimentally fitted variables have been empirically correlated to theoretical parameters. Fourier transforms have been used to evaluate sigma overlap integrals for non-analytical atomic wave functions. The values obtained for sd and pd atomic wave functions are given for Slater, hydrogenic and HF-SCF wave functions. |
