| Abstract: | Before electrolytic reduction can occur in an aqueous solution containing zinc glutamate, the complex ion must dissociate to yield the aquated zinc ion. The kinetic behavior of the slow chemical dissociation occurring before the charge-transfer reaction was investigated by two electrochemical relaxation techniques. The potentiostatic and chronopotentiometric methods were chosen for the investigation in order to compare results of two entirely different measurement techniques with the polarographic measurement of a very fast chemical reaction. ... |
