Abstract:The purpose of this study was to develop and assess the effectiveness of closed loop single concept safety films accompanied by lectures with the lecture-demonstration method in developing safety attitudes within beginning machine woodworking students. The experiments was designed to evaluate the following: safety attitude development, total initial safety achievement and retention concerning six machine safety units, initial safety achievement and retention for each individual safety unit, teacher rated student developed safety attitudes, and independent student film viewing frequencies. ...
